Acceptable Use Policy

This policy defines what is and is not permitted when using LinkShort. Violating this policy may result in immediate account termination.

1. Prohibited Uses

LinkShort is a general-purpose URL shortening service. We prohibit using LinkShort to shorten, share, or distribute URLs that lead to any of the following:

Malware, viruses, or ransomware

Links that download or execute harmful software on a visitor's device.

Phishing or credential theft

Fake login pages or sites designed to steal usernames, passwords, or financial data.

Illegal content of any kind

Content that violates any applicable local, national, or international law.

Child exploitation material

Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. Zero tolerance — reported immediately to authorities.

Spam or bulk unsolicited messaging

Links distributed via unsolicited email, SMS, or messaging campaigns.

Hate speech or harassment

Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or harassment based on race, gender, religion, or other characteristics.

Fake news or deliberate misinformation

Fabricated news articles or disinformation designed to deceive the public.

Cryptocurrency or investment scams

Fraudulent investment schemes, pump-and-dump operations, or rug-pull projects.

Pirated software, movies, music, or other content distributed without authorization.

This list is not exhaustive. We reserve the right to remove any link and suspend any account at our sole discretion if we determine the content violates the spirit of this policy, even if not explicitly listed above.

2. Enforcement

We take violations of this policy seriously. Our enforcement process includes:

Automated and manual monitoring of shortened links for policy violations
Immediate disabling of links found to violate this policy upon detection or report
Suspension or permanent banning of accounts that repeatedly or severely violate this policy
Reporting of serious violations — including illegal content — to the appropriate law enforcement authorities

Zero tolerance: Links pointing to child sexual exploitation material, active malware, or phishing pages are removed immediately and the account is permanently banned without appeal.

3. Reporting a Violation

If you encounter a LinkShort link that you believe violates this policy, please report it immediately. We review all reports and respond within 24 hours.

When reporting, please include the full shortened URL, the destination URL if known, and a brief description of the violation. We treat all reports confidentially.
